Winter Break is Dec 23rd -January 6th. First day back is TUESDAY January 7th!

The Lab will be closed for winter break from Dec 23rd-January 6th. We look forward to seeing you back Tuesday January 7th! Parents of Epic students please remember to encourage them to work 30-min a day on Moby Max during the break!

The Lab is accepting new enrollments for Spring Semester. Tell your friends!

Do you know a child who would benefit from our personalized, mastery-based approach to learning? Let them know that we are accepting new students for our Spring Semester. Parents can go to our website at lablearning.org and submit an inquiry form or request a tour and we will get back to them quickly. The more the merrier!

End of year giving - Remember The Lab!

The Lab has raised $20,000 towards our annual fundraising goal of $85,000. So $65,000 more to go. We can do this! Together!

THANK YOU THANK YOU to those who have given so generously this year. But if you haven't yet, please consider doing so. Funds go to pay for teachers' and TAs' salaries, and our beautiful building. When you give, consider making it a recurring monthly donation! If every family donates $50 a month that takes us a long way towards our goal! For the price of 2 lattes a week, you help secure the future of The Lab and educational choice for our all of children. Tell your family, grandparents, friends, employers. It takes a village... in more ways than one. Click here to make your donation.

We have a hit on our hands! The Lab's First Ever Talent Show was a smash hit! Thank you to Jessica Ponce, Diana Burbano and Tom Shelton for their great work pulling it together, to Mr. T for the stellar Emceeing and to our audience for being there. But most of all to our talented and courageous students who shared their wonderful talents with us! If you haven't seen it yet, take a look at the Highlight Reel here - 11 minutes of joy! An encore is in the works so watch for the announcement about our Spring Talent Show. Date to be announced soon!

Thank you to our Madres a Madres moms for the wonderful Posada celebration!

The Lab's Window to the World (WOW!) enrichment program provides our students with opportunities to learn about and experience cultures, foods, art and traditions from around the world. Thank you to our Madres volunteers -Martha, Erika, Juana, Graciela and Bertha - for the wonderful food, music and fun at our recent Posada celebration at The Lab!

Tamayo visits The Lab via Kathryn Forrest's project based learning class!

Last week our K-3rd grade students experienced the color and work of Rufino Tamayo from Mexico. Tamayo is widely considered one of the greatest colorists of all time. Students developed their own colors, named them and then created their own works of art inspired by the works of Tamayo. Building their skills as artists, increasing vocabulary, and creating their own works of art. See below for some of our students' creations and check-out the installation by our front door!
