Who We Are
The Lab Learning Space, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization initially situated in downtown Long Beach, has now moved to the Belmont Heights area of Long Beach as of 2021. In our new location, The Lab specializes in offering enrichment classes and tutoring for students from kindergarten to 8th grade, employing a personalized, mastery-based approach to education.
At The Lab, we strongly believe in fostering joyful education and empowering each child to take charge of their own learning. Students are placed in collaborative learning advisories based on their ability to self-direct their learning, enabling them to develop the necessary skills and personal agency to effectively manage their learning experiences in a successful and enjoyable manner.
We are an approved vendor for Blue Ridge Academy, Epic, and Sky Mountain. If your charter isn't listed, feel free to inquire, as we might be in the process of becoming a vendor for that charter. Additionally, students from PSA are also welcomed.
We do offer a limited amount of need-based financial aid for qualifying families. Furthermore, it's important to note that all classes provided are non-sectarian.
