Financial Aid
We actively seek to reduce barriers to learning opportunities for students, and create an inclusive, diverse community of learners.
In support of this goal, The Lab devotes a portion of its budget each year to need-based financial aid. Because we see educational opportunities as a partnership between families, instructors, and students, every family applying for financial aid is still expected to make some financial contribution, consistent with their means, to their child's class fees.
Applications are reviewed by the financial aid committee weeks before the start of each term and notifications of receipt are emailed out 2-weeks before the start of the semester.
Guidelines:
1. Financial aid funds are limited, demonstrating need does not guarantee receipt of aid.
2. Financial aid must be reapplied for each year.

For Spring Semester -January 3rd
Factors considered:
1. Financial need of the family
2. Diversity of students attending classes at The Lab
3. Enrollment in a charter and access to instructional funds and other educational resources
4. Savings
5. Use of funds for "lifestyle" choices such as vehicles, vacations, club memberships, etc.
6. Educational costs of other children
7. Healthcare costs
